Before you can be a leader of others, you need to know clearly who you are and what your core values are. Once you know that, then you can give your voice to those values and feel comfortable sharing them with others.”
Kouzes & Postner 2017 – The Leadership Challenge
During my mothers last days my Aunt gifted me with some profound words. “You never truly grow up until you lose your mother”.
I have always struggled to be comfortable with who I am and have lived with many doubts and insecurities throughout my life. I have spent much of my time exploring who I am over the years, from horoscopes to personality tests, from Intelligence Quotient (IQ) to Social Intelligence (SQ). I have been reading psychology books since I was 14, to try and figure out what was going on in my head.
I can tell you a lot about who I present to the world, however, it’s only since my mum passed awaythat I feel like I can finally explore who I am and who I really want to be.
Exemplary leaders know that if they want to gain commitment and achieve the highest standards, they must be models of the behavior they expect of others.

Titles are granted, but it’s your behaviour that earns you respect.
